Each credit represents one verified ton of CO₂e reduced or removed. Purchasing credits funds the project and retires the credit from circulation — it cannot be resold or double-counted.
Every purchase includes a receipt with the project name, certification standard, and credit serial number. Retirement is recorded in the relevant public registry — verifiable by anyone.
Decarb only sources offsets certified under internationally recognised standards with third-party audit requirements. We do not accept self-certified or unverified credits.
